What is ResourceHub?
ResourceHub is a searchable document library for Shopify. Upload, organize, and share manuals, spec sheets, datasheets, CoAs, SDS, and other documents in one place, so customers can find what they need directly on your store.
Is ResourceHub managed inside Shopify?
Yes. ResourceHub is built and managed inside Shopify. You upload, organize, and control your library from your Shopify admin, and it displays directly on your store. ResourceHub is also Built for Shopify certified, meaning it meets Shopify's highest standards for safety, performance, and usefulness. There is no separate site or dashboard to manage.
How do customers find documents?
Customers can search by keyword, product name, SKU, lot number, or batch number, and filter by category, tag, or type. Documents can also appear on relevant product and collection pages.
Does every document get its own page?
Yes. Every document gets a branded page with its own URL on your store's domain, allowing Google to index it and customers to find it through search.
Do I need a developer to set it up?
No. ResourceHub installs from the Shopify App Store with no code required, and you can be up and running in minutes. If you would rather not set it up yourself, our team can do it for you.
Can I control who can access my documents?
Yes. Run a fully public library, a private portal, or both. Create restricted categories for logged-in customers, specific customer tags, or B2B companies, using your Shopify customer accounts.
Can I organize documents that aren't connected to products?
Yes. Store any document, including internal team files, marketing assets, price lists, and gated content, with or without a product attached.
Can customers find CoAs and SDS by lot or batch number?
Yes. Upload your Certificates of Analysis, Safety Data Sheets, and lab results, and customers find the exact document by lot number, batch number, product, or SKU. Keep your compliance library public, or place sensitive documents in restricted categories for specific customers or B2B companies.
Can I bulk upload and migrate existing documents?
Yes. Add and update hundreds of documents at once with drag-and-drop or a CSV import, so you don't upload files one at a time. You can also migrate files from another system or existing folders, and our team can help.
What file types can I upload?
ResourceHub supports PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets such as Excel, CSV, and ODS, presentations such as PowerPoint, images including JPEG, PNG, WebP, and TIFF, CAD files including DXF, DWG, and Revit Family files, and more. PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files can be previewed in your library before downloading.
Can I customize my library?
Yes. Use the built-in editor, with no code required, to change your library’s colors, layout, page content, navigation, icons, visibility, and SEO. If you want something more tailored, our team or one of our partners can build the library around your business.
